2020 has been a year of uncertainty for the events industry. However, with restrictions easing, signs of life coming back to the events field. Perhaps by Christmas, we will be back to some sense of normality. We all know the demand is there, companies and individuals alike are all keen to shake off the isolation of lockdown and party! Venues have started to assess their options for Christmas and have even began taking tentative bookings. Things may look a little different, less attendees, table service as standard, and one-way walking systems put in place. The important element here is to keep spirits lifted and to deliver a party that guests can relish.
Package Launch
The lead up to Christmas has always been a hectic one for us here at Table Art. Bookings through July and August come thick and fast. By September/ October the Warehouse is production line of order preparation. November/ December sees our team up and down the country installing and derigging centrepieces. Obviously, this year so far has been vastly different. We have taken the time to reassess the way we do things. This blog looks at a new Christmas Package implementation, where we have streamlined the ordering process for long term hires.

How Does It Work?
The concept here is based on the demand for long term hire. Commonly in effect over the Christmas period, this is perfect for venues hosting a series of Christmas parties through November- December. There is a growing trend to set a theme annually and sell tables throughout a six-week period. Venues direct their sales to companies and individuals looking to have a celebration before Christmas. Long gone are the day of awkward Christmas Parties organised in the office. Now it’s a fantastically simple process of locating a local venue offering Christmas packages and booking a date and set of tables to suit your needs. These packages include dining, drinks, entertainment, and dancing- what more can you want?! No painful organisation, everything is done for you.
On Trend
With Venues focussing on this style of booking, there is a demand for exciting themes year on year. Last year saw a surge in circus themed parties thanks to the Greatest Showman Film. Previously there was a huge interest in our Dream Circus Concept, thanks to the trend set by the Brewery Venue. We at Table Art are masters at event styling and have developed a multitude of themes for this very purpose. Ordinarily we would speak to a client early in the year, take their brief and work on a package to suit. What we have now done is simplify that process even more. Custom Options
Two key trends have bubbled up with us this year. The first being an interest in mixing themes to get something dynamic and unique. That is certainly something you can do here. If you like a couple of the themes, then select your favourite elements and we can happily work on a bespoke quotation to suit your needs.
The Second big trend we have found is an interest in a more custom style. Perhaps your venue has a strong sense of brand that you want to bring into the Christmas Parties. We offer bespoke table centres and props so again, simply get in touch with your ideas. The design studio then works on some preliminary sketches and follow that up with a detailed quotation.

It is fair to say that 2020 has started poorly. The Events Industry took a huge pause and as a group, we are all desperate to get it back to its feet.
