Neon Frame Centrepieces at East Midlands Elite

A striking first outing at the National Space Centre

Some venues already bring a sense of occasion before the styling even begins, and the National Space Centre in Leicester is certainly one of them. On 14 August 2026, its extraordinary setting welcomed the East Midlands Elite Charity Event: an evening of networking, entertainment and fundraising in support of Maggie’s Nottingham. Table Art was delighted to contribute a coordinated collection of Neon Frame centrepieces, Spire Print Poseurs and stools, and Branded Light Panels. The event was also a particularly exciting milestone for us, as it gave our new Neon Frames their first outing. With custom branding, vivid illumination and QR codes that helped guests donate, these branded event centrepieces brought together strong design and a meaningful purpose.

Event Styling at the National Space Centre

Styling an Iconic Venue

East Midlands Elite brings together venues, agencies, suppliers, buyers and industry partners from across the region. Its annual charity event is a brilliant example of what the events community can achieve through collaboration. According to Meetings Intelligence, the organisation’s previous two summer fundraisers had already generated more than £35,000 for local charities, so this third event had a strong legacy to build upon. The National Space Centre provided a dramatic backdrop for the evening. Rather than competing with such a distinctive venue, the styling needed to complement its modern, atmospheric character and create one coherent look across the guest journey. From the reception furniture to the main event space, the repeated branding and illuminated details helped connect each area while retaining the sense of discovery that makes the venue so memorable.

A Coordinated Corporate Event Styling Scheme

One Consistent Event Look

Our Spire Print Poseurs and stools created useful social points where guests could gather, chat and enjoy the evening. Their printed surfaces carried the event identity into the reception areas, making the furniture part of the visual scheme rather than simply a practical addition. Branded Light Panels extended that look vertically, adding illuminated graphics and helping the larger spaces feel dressed and purposeful. Together, the poseurs, panels and table centres created a consistent brand presence at different heights and throughout the venue. It is a simple approach that can make a significant difference at corporate dinners and charity galas: when furniture, lighting and graphics speak the same visual language, the room feels considered from every angle.

Why Neon Frame Centrepieces Worked So Well

A Modern Table Centrepiece

The focus of the evening’s table styling was our new Neon Frame. Its clean, square silhouette felt completely at home in the National Space Centre, echoing the contemporary lines and technology-led atmosphere of the venue. The illuminated outline gave each table a clear focal point without blocking views or interrupting conversation, while the centre section provided a prominent place for bespoke event branding. As a square sister design to our popular Neon Ring, the frame offers event planners a fresh alternative for awards dinners, gala events and corporate celebrations. It combines a bold shape with flexible branding options, including laser-cut details, printed graphics and custom inserts. The lighting can also be synchronised through DMX control, allowing table centres to work alongside stage lighting, show cues and wider room effects when required.

Turning Event Décor into a Fundraising Tool

Making Donations Simple

For East Midlands Elite, the centre graphics went beyond decoration. QR codes were incorporated into the Neon Frames so guests could quickly access the donation journey for Maggie’s Centres. Placing that information in the middle of each table made it visible throughout the evening and easy to use at the moment guests felt inspired to give. It was a small detail with a very practical purpose. Guests did not need to search for a link, remember a web address or leave the room to find out how to donate. Instead, the call to action sat naturally within the table design. This is a great example of how bespoke event décor can support an event’s wider objectives, whether that means encouraging donations, sharing a programme, linking to a sponsor or directing guests to digital content.

Supporting Maggie’s Nottingham Through Event Design

Bringing the Events Community Together

Maggie’s provides free practical and emotional cancer support to people with cancer, as well as their families and friends. Supporting the Nottingham centre gave the evening a powerful local purpose, and it was a privilege to see the East Midlands events community come together around that cause. The organisers’ response after the event captured the impact of the finished room: “The room looked incredible, and we have Table Art to thank for helping create such a beautiful setting.” They also highlighted the attention to detail and table styling, describing how it helped transform the venue into the perfect backdrop for networking, celebration and fundraising. That feedback means a great deal to our team. The project showed that charity event décor can be visually impressive while still feeling relevant and useful. Every illuminated frame helped build the atmosphere, but it also kept the reason for the gathering close at hand.

Branded Event Centrepieces with a Bigger Purpose

Décor with a Practical Purpose

The East Midlands Elite Charity Event was a fantastic first outing for our Neon Frame centrepieces. Against the spectacular backdrop of the National Space Centre, the frames brought light and identity to the tables, while the Spire Print Poseurs, stools and Branded Light Panels carried the look across the wider event. Most importantly, the QR code inserts showed how thoughtful design can help turn guest engagement into action. If you are planning an awards dinner, charity gala or corporate celebration, Table Art can create a coordinated styling scheme that brings together illuminated centrepieces, branded furniture and bespoke event graphics. From the first guest arrival to the final show cue, we will help make your brand visible and your event objectives feel part of the experience.
