An Enchanted Garden Theme: A Midsummer Night’s Dream
Make the most of summer’s end with an enchanted garden party…
‘I know a bank where the wild thyme blows, Where oxlips and the nodding violet grows, Quite over-canopied with luscious woodbine, With sweet musk-roses and with eglantine: There sleeps Titania sometime of the night, Lulled in these flowers with dances and delight.’
Oberon, Act 2 Scene 1 | William Shakespeare | A Midsummer Night’s Dream
As we near the end of August, the charms of Autumn have begun. Now couldn’t be a more perfect time to host an enchanted garden themed event. We all want to make the most of the remaining long evenings and so now is the time to get that last summer event booked in. What could be better than an event set in a romantic natural style? This stripped back, organic approach to décor will be a breath of fresh air to your guests and will leave them wishing for a life of summers.
An Enchanted Garden theme is nothing new but what Table Art are proposing is an entirely new approach to a classic theme. In this blog, we highlight a collection of table centres that offer all the romance and captivation of the theme but with a distinctly updated style. For the event planner looking to make a statement with a garden theme, this is the guide for you!
Pixel Vines
The Pixel Tube has long been one of our most popular pieces. It is little wonder with the amazing lighting effects it can generate. Each tube encases 16 individual LED Lights in crystals, the effect of which is a luminous pillar that dances between colour hues at the touch of a button. When opting for an Enchanted Garden theme we recommend the Pixel Vine. Which simply put, is the Pixel Tube with vine detailing. An Ivy is entwined around the tube and creates silhouettes for the light patterns to contrast against. The result of all this is modern styled piece that has all the charm you need for an Enchanted Garden. Available in two sizes, a mix of the two heights is most effective.
Warwick Vase
Our newest design in the Enchanted Garden Collection, the Warwick Vase is the epitome of Enchantment. Inspired by the green foliage made popular by interior design, the vase features eucalyptus, Bupleurum and Lemon leaf. However, as real as they may appear, the arrangement is entirely artificial. The bouquet also includes iridescent twinkle lights and sits in an elegant glass vase. This is arguably the most suitable for an Enchanted Garden theme as it brings so many elements of the theme together. You have the natural foliage partnered with the romantic twinkle lights, perfect for the theme.
Botanical Cabaret Lamp
The Botanical Lamp is the thinking mans choice for an Enchanted Garden themed centrepiece. Rather than ‘on the nose’ theming, this centrepiece is a sophisticated take on the subject. Stunning stained-glass intricately formed in green and blue tones gives the look of a hanging willow. The beauty of these Cabaret Lamps is irrefutable and gives us all the romantic vibes needed for the theme.
Flower Air / Flower Float
Rather than the ‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream’ angle why not approach the Enchanted Garden theme in a romantics’ kind of way? The most famous painting from the Romanticism movement was arguably Ophelia Painting by John Everett Millais. A dramatic depiction of Shakespeare’s’ Ophelia as she lay floating amongst the lilies. Our Flower Float Table Centre reflects that aesthetic and could be a fabulous choice. These tall, graceful vases are filled with water, submerging a complex display of wire and lilies. The overall look is certainly a romantic one. The light catches the water and reflects off the wire display, creating a beguiling display.
Flower Fountain
The Flower Fountain is often described as a cascade of florals. Making the most of a fluted vase, simple white flowers are suspended above seated guests. The light colours the white flowers creating a vibrant floral display that works wonderfully for an Enchanted Garden themed party.
Bright Idea
This would be an entirely modern approach to a classic theme. Selecting the Bright idea Table centre with vine detailing gives us an irresistible combination of modern and vintage. A filament light bulb offers up an antique style while the large glass orb provides a distinctly modern look. The addition of the vine brings the Enchanted Garden theme to life and can be a truly unique choice of table centre. The beauty of these centres is that they are full controllable, and you can dull/ brighten the light to suit the venue.
Blossom Tree
Another unique take on the theme would be to take on a more Eastern approach. The Blossom Tree is a fabulously decadent collection of pink blossoms, collected and displayed in a straight sided vase. By request we can include twinkle lights in the arrangement. These pieces have proven particularly popular at weddings and so with the same romantic stylings, could work brilliantly for the Enchanted Garden theme.
Dragonfly Cabaret Lamp
Part of the cabaret collection, the Dragonfly motif has all the charm and wonder that the Botanical Lamp has. The difference between the two is just a case of design preference. This beauty features a charming little dragonfly and a vibrant colour palette. This instantly delivers on theme. Another sophisticated choice of table centre. Simply lit white, it illuminates the elaborate Stained-glass shade. However, this piece comes with DMX as standard so you will be able to dim/brighten or even blackout on command.
Summer Vibes
An Enchanted Garden theme is the ideal theme as Summer comes to a close. Guests want to make the most of their remaining summer evenings. By hosting an Enchanted Garden party, you will be delivering on that need and charming them with a classic theme. We hope that the designs illustrated here today shows how to do the theme in an original way. Here at Table Art we are anything but ordinary and so by highlighting our Enchanted Garden theme we are illuminating the most unique options for table décor.
