Be prepared to be charmed as Table Art Scotland share images from their Amaris event. Held at the prestigious Hilton Glasgow Central. The ballroom was festooned with magical Winter props and centrepieces. The gala dinner was an enchanting wonderland that had guests stepping into a dreamscape.
Here in this case study we will share the brief presented to Table Art Scotland. From there we will show you how they deliver above and beyond the brief. The Venue
Arguably the most popular venue in Glasgow, the Blue Parrot Group find themselves working in this prestigious hotel almost weekly, on occasion, even daily! Certainly, a home away from home for our Table Art Scotland. They are well versed in life at the Hilton Hotel Glasgow Central. As a result, their experience of the venue proves invaluable, in terms of creativity but also when a client has a quick turnaround! DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Glasgow Central is THE choice for large-scale corporate events. Featuring the largest function room in Scotland, the Hilton Glasgow can accommodate an astounding 1,500 delegates. Importantly, the hotel boasts a central location, walking distance from Buchanan Street. Also, just two miles from the SSE Hydro makes it a fantastic location for delegates looking to attend exhibitions and conferences.

The Client
Amaris Hospitality are a prominent hotel investment and management company. Boasting a portfolio of exceptional hotels based in both the UK and Ireland. Hilton Glasgow Central, chosen as the venue for the Amaris Hospitality Leadership Meeting and Exceptional Employee Awards 2020. Consequently, this event pulls together leaders from their portfolio of hotels, packing the day with informative workshops and concluding with a dazzling awards ceremony.
Following on from their successful 2019 event, this year the Amaris group wanted bigger and better! Working alongside the events team of Hilton Glasgow Central and the Blue Parrot Events group, it was a winning formula. Greg and his team were tasked with transforming the ballroom into a Winter Wonderland that was fit for a Hollywood Christmas classic.
Table Art Scotland
Table Art Scotland is better known as the Blue Parrot Events Group. Bring together event brands under the Blue Parrot Umbrella. Heading up a trilogy of brands. This event utilized two of their brands. Firstly, let’s start with Table Art. Bringing together an unparalleled collection of unique event furniture and centres. We work closely with the Scottish team to bring the Table Art magic to the north! Secondly, Social Jungle played a big role in this event, building exceptional props and installations, creating engaging digital content that make people talk! More of that to come…
The Design
Table Art Scotland AKA the Blue Parrot Events Group drew on their vast experience of the venue and selected props that suited the hotel as well as honouring the theme. So, calling on their Table Art stock, they pulled together the Swirl and Ice Melt design, both offering an ice sculpture like effect at the heart of the table. Backing those centrepieces with crisp white draping around the room brought an undeniable sense of opulence to the room. Only adding to said opulence are the charming blossom trees that when up lit in white. Therefore, they had a winter tone to them, enhancing the theme. Moreover, the Giant LED Letters sparkling out the word ‘Amaris’ was the final flourish for the main event space.
Making an Entrance…
Now to consider the entrance. Here is where Amaris really wanted to set the tone. Both in setting the theme from the off but also in presenting a great photo opportunity right from the start! Taking over the entrance with more white draping, Blue Parrot created a tunnel like effect. Vibrant blue uplighters added drama to the draping. LED Tree props sparkled and led the way. Finally, the whole look was set off with snow effects glittering the tunnel floor.
The Event
Dare we say it? Deep breath… there are some centrepieces that no photograph will do justice. For instance, the Pixel Tubes are such a presence in the flesh that in photographs, it simply does not reflect what you are seeing in person. On occasion, the same can be said of the Ice Melt Centrepiece. However, this event is the exception to that. With a professional photographer on the event, they captured these Ice Centrepieces masterfully. The Ice is crystal clear and captures the light just as designed. The beauty of these is as they slowly melt through the evening, the water droplets are illuminated as they fall. A magical effect I think you can agree.
Consequently, this event is the perfect example of a Winter Wonderland done right. Guests enjoyed a fun filled day and by night were enchanted by this elegant scene. Above all, the Winter backdrops proved to be a big hit, with guests drawn to them to take a memorable snap!
The Wrap Up
What a magnificent event by the Blue Parrot Group! Another masterstroke in event theming, they illustrate how to deliver a Winter Wonderland Event. They have reignited our excitement for the Winter season, we can only hope that the Events Industry is back to some form of normality by then.
